New Ministry Center Construction Begins

We have started construction on a new 150 x 50 building designed for ministry to people outside our congregation.  Take a look at some of the progress we have been making in the past few weeks. 

What Does It Take To Build A Place For Others?

 

A Dedicated Team Of Workers

A great team of men have worked daily to make this structure a reality.  Here john Ossowski shows a finished box that is waiting for cement.  John is just one of many dedicated workers for the Kingdom of God.

It Takes A Team

It takes many willing hands to build a place for God to work.  Here Pastor John, Tom Eichel, Very Stowell, Joe Barringer & John Ossowski lend their hands for God's work!

It Takes Vision

So often we within the Church of Jesus Chrst fail to see things as God does . . .  

 Why He sees potential in each heart and life?  He also sees what could be within His church if people were only willing to believe in Him and be faithful.  Jesus Christ must be our foundation - - He is solid and true! 

 

It Takes A Plan

This building has come through the combined thoughts of facility team members and others who long to see God work in the lives of people.  Our Helping Hands ministry which has been feeding and clothing hundreds of people in Decatur and surrounding communities has desperately needed additional space for their growing and needed ministry.  Just imagine the number of people we could help with this completed building . . .   Here Elmer Barr & John Ossowski prepare forms for foundational walls that no doubt will help people for years to come. 

It Means You Have To Get Your Hands Dirty

Here is Wade Stine who took a day of vacation to work in the building of our Ministry Center.  Wade is just one of many servants fo Jesus Christ who are willing to get their hands dirty for others.  Thanks Wade!

It Takes Measuring and Preparation

Here Alvin Boyd & Tom Eichel make preparations needed prior to building the forms for the foundational wall.  Both of these men have given great amounds of time to this project.

Someone To Drive The Equipment

We have many who love to play with the big equipment.  Here Pat Stowell operates some of our machinery as he helps us prepare for further improvements on this project.

A Few Leaders But Many Servants

 

One thing is obvious in a project like this - - - - many people love to tell others what to do - - - but those who are most needed are those who will do whatever it takes to get the project completed.  Here we see Brian McClure, Bill Hancock, & Kirk Cearlock and a few other men spreading the cement.  Who is really leading out here?  They all may think they are - - -but in reality the Spirit of God is leading and developing us all.
