I want to welcome you to our web site. 

It is my hope it will help you get to know the fine people of the Decatur First Church of the Nazarene.  They are truly an awesome people filled with the Spirit of God.

We have declared that our mission is to “Lead People To A Christ Like Life.” There is no greater purpose to which a group of people can give themselves so totally and completely than this all consuming statement. Our future is tied to those who have yet to know and experience Jesus and yet simply encountering Jesus is not enough!  We long to lead people to a life that mirros that of Jesus Christ. 

In order to accomplish this we feed regularly on the “Bread of Life” so we grow and mature in our spiritual journey. We also ask people to have a place of ministry where they serve the “Bread of Life” to those who have yet to find Jesus as Lord and Savior.

What I have learned about the people who comprise this church is that they really do believe in “Doing Life Together.” That the church is not a building, but people committing themselves to the work and life Jesus has set before them. We believe life was never meant to be lived alone, and we were created for relationships, both with God and with one another.
