We have one mission in Children’s Ministry - to lead our children to a Christ-Like life. With that in mind, our children’s programs are designed to teach our children to worship and imitate Christ and to love and listen to God. Through our “Planet Nazarene” Children’s Ministry, our children have opportunities available Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening!
Sunday Morning Ministries:
9:00 or 11:00am Worship and 10:00am Sunday School
When you first arrive in the Children’s Wing, stop by the check-in station to register your child and get their name printed on a label for each class they will attend (Sunday School and/or Worship). YOU will also receive a sticker to use later to pick them up. For comfort, you can request a pager from the check-in attendant to be notified if your child is having a difficult time. (To save time in the future, ask about the self check-in process.)
Nursery (infant through 24 months)
Bring your littlest blessings to Room 105 where your little one will stay during both Sunday School and Worship time. The room is staffed with ????? So your child will see a familiar face each Sunday. Snacks are provided?
Toddlers (ages 2 to 3)
Bring your two– and three-year old’s to Room 109 (near the exit to the playground) for both Sunday School and Worship time. There they will listen to a Bible Story, sing songs, enjoy a snack, and play outside in the enclosed playground (weather permitting).
Pre-K & Kindergarten (ages 4 to 5)
Bring your four– and five-year old’s to Room 103 (across from the children’s restrooms) for both Sunday School and Worship time. There they will listen to a Bible Story, sing songs, enjoy a snack, and play outside in the enclosed playground if weather permits.
Elementary (1st through 5th grade)
At either 9:00 or 11:00am, bring your 1st through 5th graders to the Fireside Room for Children’s Church (a lively worship service tailored just for them!) Age-based Sunday School is also available for them at 10:00am in Rooms 110 (1st & 2nd grade), Room 126 (3rd & 4th grade), and 107 (5th grade).
Sunday Evening Ministries:
Small Groups are available for children ages 4-12 from 5:00-7:00pm Sunday evenings during the fall, winter, and spring. The small groups begin with dinner in the Fireside Room then break into boys and girls groups that each do a Bible lesson, sing music, then have free play in the Great Room. Most of our adult small groups meet at this same time creating a wonderful opportunity for adults to attend a small group as well. Nursery is also available from 5-7pm for children infant to 3.
Wednesday Evening Ministries:
On Wednesday evenings during the fall, winter, and spring, our 1st-5th graders meet for our “ORBIT Quizzing Program”. Through our Bible Quizzing program, the children study a particular book of the Bible and work on verse memorization and story comprehension. Later in the season, they travel to other churches in our district to compete. (Note: Nursery services are available for ages 0-Kindergarten during this time, and we serve our Wednesday evening church meal from 5:00-6:30pm in the Fireside Room.)
During the summer months, the Wednesday evening program turns its focus from quizzing to a special book of the Bible for comprehension work…
Other Children’s Ministry Activities:
In addition to our regularly-scheduled activities, look for other fun opportunities throughout the year. We offer Children’s Camp, Vacation Bible School, our annual Family Fun Fest, Treat the Halls (for Halloween), free Family Movie Nights, and trips to Knights Action Park and other family-friendly places around town.
